Lisburn Subgroup
The Lisburn Subgroup brings together statutory, community and voluntary groups, individuals and organisations in the area who want to improve the services and support to all victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.
The Subgroup is consistently supported in its aims by some of our key members, namely the SE Trust, Belfast & Lisburn Women’s Aid and the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council PCSP.
The group also aims to provide training and awareness on new initiatives, legislation and best practice relating to addressing domestic and sexual violence and abuse across the Partnership.
To do this, the group looks at new and emerging issues related to domestic & sexual violence and abuse. It identifies training needs and seeks ways to increase knowledge and understanding. Where necessary, the group supports joint training events and contributes to appropriate training resources.
Training & awareness-raising topics include:
- Domestic Abuse
- Technology-Facilitated Domestic Abuse
- Coercive Control
- FGM/HBA
